Also, it has same day appointments, a Child and Adolescent Transgender Center for Health, and a Teen & Tot program for expectant and parenting youth.

Dimock Community Health Center offers birth control and emergency contraception options. Also, it offers free care and same day appointments. Birth control options can be given in the Pediatric and Adolescent Department but IUDs and implants are only given in the OBGYN Department. IUDs and implants cannot be given at a same day appointment. Must be a registered patient at the Dimock Community Health Center before receiving free sexual health services.

Fenway Health: Sidney Borum Jr. Health Center

Sidney Borum Jr. Health Center provides free and confidential sexual health services. All birth control and emergency contraception except implants, the patch and nuvarings are available. However, it does make referrals for implants and nuvarings. Also, it offers free care, same day appointments, a trans-positive psychotherapy, gender counseling, and makes referrals to Fenway Transgender Youth Clinic. Identification is required to be seen. If seeking sexual health services, such as birth control or STI testing, you do not need to be an established patient at the clinic.

During Covid-19, Borum providers and staff have been redeployed to our other two clinical locations and no services are being offered at 75 Kneeland Street at this time. Located on the second and fourth floors of the Pledge of Allegiance Building at 142 Berkeley Street, Fenway: South End offers medical and behavioral health care. It also features the Fenway Pharmacy to make filling prescriptions that much easier. Walk-in HIV Counseling & Testing available on Thursdays from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm and throughout the week by appointment. STD Testing is available throughout the week by appointment only.

Tufts Medical School Floating Hospital’s Adolescent Health Services Program offers all options for birth control and emergency contraception option except IUDs, which are referred tothe OBGYN department. Abortion care is also referred to the OBGYN department. This clinic does not have Title X ABCD funding and you can’t get an IUD the same day. 

 

During Covid-19, Tuft’s Adolescent Health Services Program is conducting phone consultations before all in-person visits. A provider will determine if an in-person visit is necessary. In-person visits are only being held 1:00pm-5:00pm Mondays-Fridays. Must be a patient at this clinic to have a phone consultation/in-person visit.

Whittier Street Health Center’s OBYGN clinic offers free birth control shot, pills, and emergency contraception. It has free care but IUDs, implants, ring, and patch birth control options require insurance. Whittier Street Health Center’s STI clinic offers free and confidential STI/HIV testing. Whittier Street Health Center also offers an LGBTQ clinic.

 

During Covid-19, Whittier St. Health Center is conducting phone consultations before all in-person visits. The Family Planner can determine if an in-person visit is necessary.
