Project  SHINE (Support, Healthcare, INtervention, Education) is an HIV services program that offers STI/HIV testing, PrEP, and additional supports. Project SHINE offers confidential fourth-generation HIV antigen/antibody testing, as well as gonorrhea, chlamydia, hepatitis C, and syphilis testing. Results are available within a few days of testing.

Evening walk-in screening services are available Monday through Friday 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Satellite Emergency Facility located at 10 Gove Street.

Fenway Heath has three clinic locations across Boston.  Visit Fenway’s clinic pages to learn more about their services and hours of operations.

1. Sidney Borum, Jr. Health Center serves teens and young adults ages 12-29, and is a safe place for at-risk youth, including LGBTQIA+ young people, homeless teens and young adults, those struggling with substance abuse, involved with gangs or doing sex work.
2. The Ansin Building offers full-service medical, behavioral health, dental and eye care.  A full-service pharmacy and a variety of services from HIV and STD testing to complementary therapies, LGBT parenting services, a Violence Recovery Program and women’s health and transgender health services are available.
3. Fenway: South End offers medical and behavioral health care and has its own branch of the Fenway Pharmacy to make filling your prescriptions that much easier.

Sidney Borum Jr. Health Center provides free and confidential sexual health services. All birth control and emergency contraception except implants, the patch and nuvarings are available. However, it does make referrals for implants and nuvarings. Also, it offers free care, same day appointments, a trans-positive psychotherapy, gender counseling, and makes referrals to Fenway Transgender Youth Clinic. Identification is required to be seen. If seeking sexual health services, such as birth control or STI testing, you do not need to be an established patient at the clinic.

Upham’s Corner Health Center offers birth control options and emergency contraception. The clinic has free care options but a birth control implant require insurance. For birth control, pregnancy testing, and STI testing walk-ins are available at the urgent care walk-in clinic on the first floor. When visiting urgent care walk-in, you will need to register with the clinic.

To be guaranteed to be seen, please call ahead for an in-person appointment. In order to be seen for an appointment, you must be a patient at Upham’s Corner Health Center. The center is accepting new patients who do not have a PCP elsewhere.

Condom are available at the front of the clinic in brown bags as well as in every exam room.

Upham’s Corner offers HIV management support with access to PEP and PrEP.
